Leak Detection in Hull
Hull sits low, and that changes how leaks behave. With a high water table and heavy clay soils across much of the city, escaping water often has nowhere to go: it lingers under floors, tracks along footings and shows up as persistent damp rather than an obvious wet patch. It also means damp readings alone prove very little, because background moisture is naturally high. Two-method confirmation matters more here than almost anywhere else we work.
The city's terraces and tenfoots bring their own patterns: shared and re-routed supply pipes, older lead and galvanised services still in use, and heating systems extended many times over. We use acoustic detection and correlation on the metallic supplies, tracer gas where plastic pipe or drained systems defeat the microphones, and thermal imaging for heating and underfloor circuits. Yorkshire Water supplies the area.
We cover the whole city and the villages west and north, with fixed prices agreed before we travel.
