Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal information LeakSleuth collects through this website, why, who else handles it and how long it is kept. It is written to meet the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

LeakSleuth is a trading name of Roxby Heating Engineers Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 12165066, registered office 27 South Street, Roxby, Scunthorpe DN15 0BP. What we collect

When you send the contact form or the callback form on the home page, we collect:

• your name and phone number;
• your postcode;
• your email address, if you choose to give it;
• the service you are asking about and your message;
• the page you sent the form from, the time it was sent and your IP address, which we log to trace faults and deal with abuse of the form.

If you phone, email or message us on WhatsApp instead, we use the details you give us in the same way.

Why we use it

We use your details only to reply to your enquiry, give advice and prepare a quote. Our lawful basis is that you have asked us to do this before entering into a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)), and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and keeping the form free of spam (Article 6(1)(f)). We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to.

Who else handles it

We use a small number of service providers, who process data on our behalf and only on our instructions:

• Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the form is sent by a person and not a spam robot. It examines browser signals when you use the form.
• StackMail carries the enquiry email from this website to our mailbox and hosts that mailbox.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page visits so that we can see which pages are useful. It sets no cookies and does not track you across other websites.

Cloudflare may process data outside the UK; where it does, it relies on the safeguards recognised under UK data protection law. WhatsApp messages are handled by WhatsApp under its own terms.

Cookies

This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare Turnstile may use strictly necessary storage to complete its spam check when you use a form.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for up to two years and then deleted, unless you become a customer. If you do, your details become part of your job records and are kept for as long as the law requires us to keep business and tax records.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to our use of it, and to receive it in a portable format. To use any of these rights, email hello@leaksleuth.co.uk. We will reply within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so that we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this notice

We will update this notice if the way we handle personal information changes. Last updated 30 September 2026.
